UCANRAA Annual Meeting & Awards Event

Congratulations!

On Thursday, April 25, UCANRAA held its annual meeting and awards event, where 2013 award winners were recognized.  Dr. Michelle Judge received the UCANRAA Distinguished Alumni Award.  Dr. Judge, ’94 and ’06, is currently an assistant professor in the UConn School of Nursing.  Dr. Hedley Freake, professor in the Department of Nutritional Sciences, was recognized with the UAANRAA Excellence in Teaching Award, and Nancy Abbott from the Storrs Agricultural Experiment Station received the UCANRAA Outstanding Staff Award.  Congratulations to each of the winners, and thank you for your commitment to CANR.

UCANRAA Announces Board of Directors

 

UCANRAA held elections to fill openings on the Board of Directors.  Liz Ackell Glynn, ’08, was elected to a second term, as was Steve Fish.  Michelle Forella, ’13, who has served for two years as a student representative to UCANRAA, will sit on the Board as an elected member following her graduation in May.  Thank you for your service to UCANRAA and to the students, staff, faculty and alumni of CANR.

 

Polo Gala

In May, alumni gathered for alumni polo matches at the Horsebarn Hill Arena.
