Alumni Awards

The College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources Alumni Association is currently accepting nominations for the 2015 Alumni Awards. This is your opportunity to recommend deserving alumni for recognition of contributions to the field. To be considered, your nomination must be received no later than Wednesday, January 28, 2015.  

Board Members

The UCAHNR Alumni Association is also accepting nominations for Board Members. You are invited to submit names of highly motivated alumni who are committed to the advancement of the College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources and its many students and alumni. These nominations must be received by Wednesday, January 28, 2015.  Self-nominations are accepted.  For more information, contact Pam Chudzik at

Award Criteria

Distinguished Alumni Award

Outstanding Kinesiology Professional

An educator, researcher, or health/fitness advocate

Outstanding Physical Therapy Professional

A physical therapist working in a university or clinical setting

Eligibility: These are annual awards for any alumni of the University of Connecticut College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources.  For the purposes of this award, an alumnus/a is any person who remained in attendance for at least one semester and earned a degree from CAHNR or any of its predecessors, including Allied Health, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy.

Purpose: To recognize outstanding achievements of alumni of CAHNR. 

Nomination Requirements:  A letter of nomination--not to exceed two pages—from the individual making the nomination that describes the significant qualifications, abilities, characteristics and achievements that make this nominee an outstanding candidate for the award is required.  A copy of the nominee’s resume or curriculum vita is accepted but not required; up to two additional letters of support will be accepted but are not required.
